Drones Of September

Whoa!

More than 21 Drones Gone Wild! events in Land of the Pure in dang near as many days Officially nom d'guerre  September as 'Drone Month" - annihilating nearly 150 enemies - with (wait for it) no mention of innocent civilians!

Oh Snap!

Essentially - Great Satan must be privy to some literally killer intell, gossip and hot deets on North Waziristan's posse of Haqqies, aQ's and assorted Talibani.

3 Sept: 2 separate strikes wacked 15 enemy in North Waziristan. The first strike was near Miramshah, killing six. Strike two did Data Khel, targetting the home of Gul Adam, and killed nine. Hot! gossip whispers that local Taliban commander Inayatullah was granted an instant Back Stage Pass to the afterlife.

4 Sept  - Drones blitzed a jerk convention in Datta Khel (North Waziristan -natch) sending 8 including  3 foreign fighters straight off to the perfumed gardens of paradise

6 Sept: Surprise breakfast drone kills off 6 before the grits perked.

8 Sept: - a magical date 'Day of the Drone" 4 strikes in 24 hours! In the first attack, a crib of Maulvi Azizullah, a Haqqani network networker collided with a drone fired missile and yielded 6 kills. Second attack, drones fired missiles striking a car traveling a few miles from the border, killing four peeps hooked up with Haqqani clan. In the 3rd attack, another terrorist hostel got droned killing another 4. Just hours later the 4th attack jack struck a compound nearby taking out at least another 6 and sorely vexing 5 others. All together 24 highly suspected enemies were...gone... in these 4 hits.

11 Sept drone strike on one of Great Satan's High Holy Days hits the hood of Hafiz Gul Bahadur in North Waziristan taking down 5.

13 Sept: Lucky drone takes out an unlucky 13 on the 13th in Shawal, North Waziristan. CNN counts it as two drone strikes!

14 Sept: a dirty dozen (12) get dosed up beyond repair in Dargah Mandi near Miran Shah, North Waziristan. Totally 'fresh' indeed!

15 Sept: Great Satan celebrated mid month payday by taking out another 4 including a blood member of the Haqqanis - Saifullah Haqqani (1st cuz of the Haqqani Network leader Sirajuddin Haqqani) - hope it was slow and painful.

16 Sept drones fired missiles at a house in Datakhel taking out 6 and "...14 foreigners and so-called Punjabi Taliban..." in another strike in Dandi Derpakhel. Just something about drones loitering about for an hour firing off 10 missiles is lolz quality.

19 Sept - Datta Khel, North Waziristan gets the heat netting another 5 dead enemies.

20 Sept - Great Satan double deals 2 diff strikes for a total of 12 militants in North Waziristan, the first volley hit a vehicle that in the Datakhel region killing 5, the second volley volley'd a house in Miran Shah killing 7.

21 Sept - Racking up an impressive 16 kills in the South-North Waziristan boarder region, including Taliban commander Mullah Shamsullah.

25 Sept A drone fired three missiles interrupting a vehicular joyride killing 4 in Datta Khel, North Waziristan. This hit is significant: Among the dead creeps was Sheikh Fateh Al Misri, aQ's brand new number 3. Hot gossip claims al Masri indulged in plotting wicked deadly plots to strike in Europa - Berlin, Paris or London doing the Mumbai Massacre M.O. Most likely in the final stages of prep al Masri may very well have been the raison d'etre for the sexponential September activities of Drones Gone Wild!.

26 Sept Drones do 2 launch missions killing 7. In the first strike, drone fired three missiles at a house in Lwara Mandi village in Datta Khel, killing 3 militants. Minutes later, a drone fired two missiles at a vehicle in the same area, killing 4 militants.

27 Sept Bed Check Charlie Drone patrol wacks 4 enemies when it hits Miran Shah, North Waziristan

28 Sept - Drones do the compund at Zeba (west of Wana) in surprise! South Waziristan, knocking off 4 more.

"Backing Diplomacy With Force"

Military action as diplomacy?

Yessir!

AFP's daemoneoconic 2.0 unleashes some semi redux'd straight talk about a literally killer aspect of Great Satan's 'Forever Wars' that could actually probably make a crucial diff.

Waging open asymmetrical warfare against Preacher Command's proxies.

Despite repeated assurances that Great Satan considers that "all options remain on the table" in dealing with the Iranian regime, "...Tehran has been permitted to wage not one but two irregular wars against America for more than half a decade and to do so with virtual impunity.

It's true! All the cool kids knew eons ago that Iran was queering the mix in New Iraq (Bad bad Basra, nicht war?) and Great Satan's bona fide'd cat to Iraq recently confided "...up to a quarter of the American casualties..." were courtesy of Iran and the Mahdi Army mix Hiz'B'Allah

Casus Beli Beotche!

"...A similar state of affairs exists in Afghanistan. This summer's disclosure of military documents by Internet clearinghouse WikiLeaks included important proof that Iran is waging what amounts to a "covert campaign" against the U.S.-led coalition there as well. The Iranian government, the documents charge, is supplying funds, weapons and training to Taliban insurgents and offering them safe haven from coalition operations.

Not to mention blinging up a cash death mark on American GIs, NATO conscripts and voltiguers - you know - the real humanitarians.

"... These activities have helped sustain and strengthen the anti-coalition insurgency raging anew on the war on terror's first front.

Since intell is allegedly dicey about all of gay free Persia's new clear enrichment exstenz
  - "...delay of Iran's nuclear program, rather than its destruction, will by necessity be the default objective of military planners.

"...The overall objective is clear. Only when Iran’s war on the United States in those places begins to take a real toll will its leaders come to believe that Washington and its allies stand ready to act on other provocations as well. And that, in turn, may prompt Tehran to take the current sanctions regime far more seriously than it does at the moment.

And that hap hap happy day will only arrive once Great Satan gets all crazy and unpredictable!

America needs to convince Preacher Command that a military option, while not desirable, swings both ways - viable and sweetly inescapable if Tehran does not change course.

Great Satan, without restraint, modesty or delay is fixing to re-estab her strategic swaggerlicious credibility with the Iranian regime.

"...Most directly, this means imposing, and then executing, new rules of engagement vis-a-vis Iranian irregular forces and proxies active in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Simultaneously, additional emphasis is needed on augmenting security along Iraq and Afghanistan’s still-porous borders with Iran, thereby complicating continued infiltration and subversion by the Islamic Republic.

"...A range of other irregular warfare initiatives can be harnessed as needed to help dismantle, disrupt and deter Iranian activities in both theaters.

Hot Pursuit!

An ancient mom tale that ancient moms enjoy telling is something something "the chase is better than the catch."

While this may indeed be true while pursuing entertainment for the evening (or a lifetime - it depends), in the wild wack realm of the Diplopolititary, the catch is literally killer - the end all - be all.

Like being all hunched up on the Durand Line.

"... ANSF Combat Outpost Narizah came under attack, receiving direct and indirect fire from the Pakistan side of the border. An air weapons team in the area observed the enemy fire and engaged the enemy in the border area under the right of self defense. The engagement resulted in more than 30 insurgents killed.

Aside from laughingly pointing out no civilians (innocent or not) were killed, this interesting caveat appeared

"...At no time
during the engagement did ground forces cross into Pakistan territory"

Since 'Drone Month" kicked off with a record amount of Great Satan's robot air teams raining death onto the heads of creeps, girlphobic jerks and time traveling murderous intolerants (all ratted out by snitches in Great Satan's employ), the concept of 'Hot Pursuit' by design means that ground incursions may happen at any moment!

Natch, Taliban loving ISI cats will not be so hot for such events - jamming up their forever quest for 'Strategic Depth' - raises the ever risible cries about nat'l sovereignty.

What a hoot coming from a new clear fake believe nation state that for some reason cannot - or will not - enforce writ of state. After all, if Land of the Pure was seriously engaged in statecraft au courant - the Haqqies and their kindred spirits would be spirits indeed.

Thus Land of the Pure's po'd retort about
becoming "... constrained to consider response options” is a very double edged sword:

"...
the message communicated to the Nato command was crystal clear that in view of declining public support for war on terror, the security of Nato supply routes through Pakistan could be threatened in the aftermath of the new air campaign..."

Oh, really?

Rumours that PAK Army is taking a break from doing coups - so as not to 'own' the misery and devastation that PAK's civie gov owns via the flood stuff - is also a dual bladed blade.

All that NATO airware doing humanitarian airlifts might well be put to use supplying NATO cats as they ramp up for
Operation Dragon Strike instead.

Bahrain Blitz

Ha ha Coup d'état!

At least a near miss!

Essentially - if Little Satan does act out with an enrichment interruptus maneuver ala the IAF, Mullahopolis has a regime changin' opportunity of her own.

Iran has had the hots for Bahrain every since the al-Khalifa clan
ran off the Persians and cut a deal with Great Britain in 1783! Recapturing lost turf would certainly refill the prescript on nat'lism 101's grievance about lost territories.

Got it going on right here.

"...Bahrain's attempted coup reports should be taken seriously, as Iran knows that its best chance of fighting the US and/or Israel is by proxy. Hitting Bahrain hard would greatly upset the overall security situation in the Middle East and Gulf region.

"...Tehran realizes two very important facts in case of attack against its nuclear facilities. First is that if attacked by Israel and/or the United States it will be incapable of striking back directly seeing the US' domination of the skies and Israel's quasi-impregnable air defense system (with US contribution).

"...And second, Iran also knows that it must retaliate at all costs or lose all credibility. The solution? Fight them (the US and/or Israel) by proxy. And hit them hard. And make it hurt.

"...How do they go about this? Hiz'B'Allah, the Lebanese Shiite paramilitary movement, is in a perfect position to hit Israeli towns and cities from the north and could target large centers of population as far south as Hadera and possible further.

"...Hiz'B'Allah's arsenal includes long-range field artillery and Iranian-supplied medium-range rockets. From the south, Hamas, the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, can target Israeli locations, including the suburbs of Tel Aviv. Hamas' artillery is more crude and their Qasam rockets are home made and inaccurate, though they can still cause damage and casualties.

"...In the Gulf, Iran supports, arms, and trains Kuwait's very own Hiz'B'Allah, who in turn is believed to have been supplying training and weapons to the Bahraini Shiites, such as the 23 men who were recently arrested in Bahrain.

Regime Change Myanmar

Oh! It's true bay bee!

The raison d'etre ala Regime Changes is prett much "When in doubt - knock 'em out!"

If and when Great Satan is magically free "...from the mayhem of Iraq and Afghanistan, we may be shocked to find that our attention has been needed elsewhere.

"...A number of so-called “brush-fire” wars may have serious long-term consequences, and North Korea’s and Iran’s uncompromising and unrelenting efforts to obtain nuclear weapons are coming to a crisis..."

One partic nation/state candidate for giving the illegit regime au courant the old heave ho is the Burma Myanmar place.

"...Over the past two decades, the Burmese military has turned a once-prosperous country with enormous potential into a poverty-stricken police state where the government literally enslaves its own people for manual labor.

"...Village after village in Burma’s ethnic tribal areas has been burned and savaged by the junta’s forces, turning hundreds of thousands of Burmese into displaced persons.

"...The ruling generals are tyrannical, bloodthirsty, and without moral restraint. So how do nuclear weapons fit into this picture? Recent reports indicate that the regime is actively pursuing a nuclear program, with the help of North Korea.

"...Such awesome new power in the hands of psychotic bullies who have no regard for human life would be a nightmare — not just for the suffering Burmese, but for all of humanity.

"...Like North Korea’s nuclear program, Burma’s does not suggest that it’s time to cut a deal. It’s time for regime change.

Course, Regime Changin' doesn't always mean a D Day style invasion or an Iraqi Freedom 20 Day Redux - the "Democratic Imperatives" work good too.

"...Aung San Suu Kyi and her ethnic allies are democratic and give the West a viable and powerful option.

"...When America supports those brave souls fighting for their freedom against despicable tyrants, we are not only doing the right thing by them, we are invariably bolstering the safety of our own country. This is especially true in an era when proliferation of nuclear weapons is not just a theoretical threat.

"...They would already have succeeded in toppling their oppressors, except that China has supplied the junta with an arsenal of modern arms and other instruments of repression.

"...There is a steep price for China’s assistance. Burma’s vast
natural resources are being plundered, and China is being provided with strategic military positioning for its army and navy, which puts India in serious jeopardy.

"...All of this is, of course, in keeping with China’s global game plan of adding to its own power by helping the world’s most rotten regimes, including North Korea, Iran, Sudan, and Venezuela, among others.

Pic - "Through its crimes against humanity, the Burmese junta attempts to crush all hope for democratic self-rule, but the junta’s torture and bullets cannot silence the people’s non-violent struggle for democracy."

Stuxnet!

Sabotage!

In the world of cyber d'guerre, a magically delish - one of a kind virally virus thingy first met when a Belarus-based security company discovered it on computers belonging to an Iranian client back in July.

Since then - it's appeared and spread through Iran, India and Indonesia.

It's Stuxnet - built by a very sophisticated and capable attacker - possibly a nation state - and Stuxnet was designed to destroy something big.

"...Stuxnet is going to be the best studied piece of malware in history. We will even be able to do process forensics in the lab. Again, the attacker must know this.

"...Therefore, the whole attack only makes sense within a very limited timeframe. After Stuxnet is analzyed, the attack won't work any more. It's a one-shot weapon. So we can conclude that the planned time of attack isn't somewhen next year.We must assume that the attack did already take place. We are also assuming that it was successful. So let's check where something blew up recently.

Iran's Bushehr new clear site!

"...It is hard to ignore the fact that the highest number of infections seems to be in Iran. Can we think of any reasonable target that would match the scenario? Yes, we can.

"...Look at the Iranian nuclear program. Strange -- they are presently having some technical difficulties down there in Bushehr. There also seem to be indications that the people in Bushehr don't seem to be overly concerned about cyber security.

44's War

Direct Hit!

Has HRC's campaign caveat about the 3 a.m. cell call
came true with paw paw era Watergator guy's hot! new expose' on 44 @ War?

Maybe!

"
First, the president really hates being commander-in-chief in a time of war. Second, and perhaps related, the fight the White House most wants to win is the battle over who gets blamed for a defeat in Afghanistan."

Kinda all Greek Tragic:

  • A president "misleading" the American public: 44 campaigned on the claim that Afghanistan is a war of necessity that was under-resourced because 43 ignored military advice, but he privately was forcing his nat'l sec team to embrace arbitrary resource and time constraints and to rush to a minimum footprint, and in doing so running roughshod over military advisors.
  • Feuding advisors arguing as much over personality as over policy: More ominously, the turf fights and mistrust seem to crisscross the civil-military divide as well as the official hierarchy, with Cabinet principals dissing deputies (look for the revenge of the deputies in later installments).
  • National security policy dictated more by partisan interests than by the national interest. Thus imposing an artificial timeline on the Afghan surge because 44 is adamant that "...I can't lose the whole Democratic party."
  • The White House political team front and center in national security policy: "The result is a strategy-making process that has ground down even Defense Secretary Robert Gates and Gen. David Petraeus, two of the most publicly imperturbable and iron-disciplined figures imaginable. Anyone who has observed Gates in recent years or throughout his career will find it stunning to think, as Woodward apparently relates, that he would be “tempted to walk out of an Oval Office meeting.” Likewise that Petraeus, who did not flinch through the darkest “General-Betray-Us” months of the Iraq surge, might mutter to his staff that “the administration was ‘effing with the wrong guy,’” is equally remarkable.
  • A White House discounting inconvenient intelligence warnings about terrorist attacks planned against the United States. In one of the most damning anecdotes from the previews, "Mr. Blair warned the president that radicals with American and European passports were being trained in Pakistan to attack their homelands. Mr. Emanuel afterward chastised him, saying, "You're just trying to put this on us so it's not your fault." Mr. Blair also skirmished with Mr. Brennan about a report on the failed airliner terrorist attack on Xmas. 44 later forced Mr. Blair out."
  • A White House ignoring a war where U.S. troops are engaged. 44 campaigned against 43's "inattention" to the Afghan War, but Woodward appears to document an even more profound disregard for the ongoing war in Iraq.
  • A fundamental naiveté about military operations. Thus one finds a commander-in-chief willing to authorize a surge of combat troops but unwilling ("I am done doing this") to authorize the requisite enabling troops that make those combat troops effective. Or a commander-in-chief refusing ("Why do we keep having these meetings?") to revisit, review, and revise earlier decisions as the enemy reacts and as the situation on the ground develops.
"At best, administration policy is a coerced consensus. But beyond providing a weak foundation for strategy, the process seems almost inexorably headed toward destroying the trust upon which healthy civil-military relations depend.

Sensitive Straits

Whoa!

Hot intell that Great Satan is deploying those super long legged recon drones from glamourous Guam is just another of the fully crunk assets bulking up the string of pearls island chain that China is so freaked about.

China's love affair with the RMA hooked up with
Chinese Naval Order #1 "To discourage the U.S. or any other foreign navy from intervening in Beijing's declared sphere of influence around Taiwan and in the South and East China Seas in a crisis" is quite provocative.

And Great Satan's navy is easily provoked. The recent voyage by Great Satan's latest greatest attack sub to Nippon yielded some extra sextralishious baby
pillow talk -

"It’s no longer about how fast or how deep a sub could go. It’s the ability to have a persistent presence off shallow areas.”

Uh - why cause?

Because!

"...Take out an atlas and trace the string of islands that stretch for more than a thousand kilometers from the southern tip of Kyushu through Okinawa nearly as far as Taiwan. All are Japanese, although the southern-most is disputed by China.

"...There is a gap in this island chain between Okinawa and the Japanese island of Miyako known as the Miyako Channel.

"...The Miyako Channel is becoming one of the most sensitive maritime flashpoints in the world, along with the Malacca Strait, the Strait of Hormuz or the Taiwan Strait. It may be even more sensitive than the Taiwan Strait, as the U.S. and other navies avoid passing through it unless they are trying to be deliberately provocative.

"...On the other hand, the Miyako Strait is where the U.S., Chinese and Japanese navies grind together. Last April, a Chinese navy flotilla passed through the channel on the way to open sea. It was shadowed by Japanese destroyers, which in turn, were buzzed by Chinese helicopters, prompting Tokyo to make a formal protest about the harassment of its ships.

"...Japan is awakening to the fact that their extreme southern flank is basically undefended and open to invasion. For years most of Japan’s ground forces were deployed in the northern island of Hokkaido to guard against a Russian invasion. Gradually, Tokyo has been redeploying its troops to the west and south.

"...This may accelerate as Beijing is becoming more aggressive in asserting its hegemony over nearby waters, not just traditionally recognized territorial waters but the entire South China, East China and Yellow Seas. The Chinese strongly objected to the presence of the aircraft carrier USS George Washington in the Yellow Sea in joint U.S. and South Korean naval exercises.

Kinda makes the case for stashing Teufel Hunden at Okinawa!

"These developments put the presence of the U.S. Marine Expeditionary Force in a new light. Who is better equipped or trained to recapture isolated islands?

Little Satan's Next War

Oh! It's so!

When the balloon goes up on Little Satan's north 40 - it is so NOT going to resemble the old Hiz'B'Allah Rocket War of '06.

It's going to be off the hook!

It's regional bay bee - battleground Lebanon, Little Satan and Syria most likely sucking in Iran.

Comprising major combat ops, vertical envelopment, Kursk style hack and slash with significant casualties among combatants and civilian - both innocent and the innocent enabling civilian shields. Mayhem on an industrial scale will devastate infrastructure.

Little Satan's master plan involves seriously trashing Hiz'B'Allah's rocket artillery, rocketry and missile stashes and launch sites before skyscrapers are exploding in Little Satan's shiny new modern cities and in an incredible feat of audacious battlefield audacity - annihilate the three reinforced Battle Commands 2 on the sunny side of Litani and one north.

An all out land-sea-air blitz by Little Satan to diss and disrupt HbA's Command and Control stuff all over Lebanon with serious damage done on infrastructure throughout Lebanon.

Bluffs, feints and out right threats will ideally assure al Assad the best course of action is to preserve the regime and keep the war from breaking into Syria.

Mobilizing reserves, shrewd panzer movements and "...flexing muscles..." indicate Little Satan will not worry to much about striking any Syrian forces or Iranian assets that contemplate coming to Hiz'B'Allah's rescue.

The recent gossip that Syria will be deploying several sea coast batteries of Yakhont anti ship cruise missiles with a range of 300 kilometers means any D Day style amphib ops will require their instant destruction or capture.

Overland resupply from Syria is null and void via the IAF so Beirut's Airport is perhaps the most public - tender - sensitive portion that Hiz,B'Allah bares.

The overt girthy robust Body Part Collector General went to the limit to keep it in HbA's hands - pushing the nation to the brink in a counter coup to keep it. Capturing and reinforcing the airport on day one
as a forward combat base will do much to avert attention from the slow bump and grind just over the Blue Line and seriously splinter Hiz'B'Allah from it's highest eschelons.

Little Satan could possibly
use the lust of returning it to Lebanon as a condition to do UN Reso #1680 and get some serious jawflapping going about disarming Hiz'B'Allah

Use 'em or lose 'em will be Hiz'B'Allah's raison d'guerre raining as many weapons as possible on Little Satan's northern approaches to inflict max causalities.

Syrian Air Force will try to intercept any Little Satan recon and interdiction flights from xing into Syria airspace - or maybe even engage in Leb airspace - considering the - uh - close proximity of the fighting to Damascus. If Syria becomes directly involved in fighting - it will be far more interested in protecting the regime than going Golan, replenishing Hiz'B'Allah's rocket stocks or re estabbing the old Kuriba al Suryat in Lebanon.

Persia will accelerate with an avalanche of materiel to Syria and Hiz'B'Allah including technicians, some combat units of varying size and ability and maybe even firing off missiles at Little Satan - ratcheting tension up - maybe even straits of Hormuz belligerence.

Within 2 weeks - Little Satan will occupy choice bits of Lebanon and possibly the entire Strip - depending if HAMAS acts out.

If Little Satan is determined in her battlefield exploits, "...and willing to pay the price in casualties and damage incurred, it will succeed militarily, break the military power of Hezbollah and weaken it politically.

"... The Syrian regime will be weakened, and Iran's activity in the region will be contained because of the downfall of its allies. If Iran does not assist its allies, it will also lose much of its influence.

"...HAMAS, if it becomes involved directly in the war, will lose its military power in the Gaza strip and at least some of its political power.

Great Satan should not rush to contain Little Satan, instead stretch time and cover "...to give the IDF the time and space necessary to complete its operations against Hiz'B'Allah and Syria..."

"Traditional Mechanisms"

Hot on the heels of Afghanistan's electile dysfunction and the attendant combat - P4 gave it up to Teutons with some clever insight and hot! sight bites on AFPAK

"...We have not had a sufficient take on each of the valleys and villages in which we're operating. But again: You only get there when you have a sufficient density of forces on the ground. I'll give you an example: We didn't realize that two districts west of Kandahar had developed into very important Taliban sanctuaries over the period of five years. It was only recently that we realized the extent of those safe havens.

"...The lesson from this is that all counterinsurgency efforts must be local, which means that you must really understand the dynamics, the personality, the customs, the system, the traditional mechanisms of a given place -- and you can't develop that kind of understanding until you have enough forces on the ground.

Battlefield Anniversary

Way back in the last millennium, as the most uncivil war raged across, through and all around Chattaboogie - and the bloodiest battle of all them kicked off this day in 1863

By 1863, Confederacy was in a terrible bind - 4 July saw the loss at two diff battlefields hundreds of miles apart - decisive disaster on two fronts. One at Gettysburg and one at Vicksburg.

Chased out of Tenneesee, Confederacy deployed her all stars like Hood, Longstreet and Bragg to delay, repel and defeat the Yankees long enough to draw one last time on the war weary reserves of Dixie.

Confederacy desperately needed a prestige victory.

Turning several square K of pure heaven into pure heck for three days, Confederacy fought one of the first modern battles tactics wise at Chickamauga.

Both sides were lined up - Confederacy facing west and Union facing East through thickets, woods, hills and dells. The line was drawn, reserves were available and everbody knew if Confederacy couldn't stop Union here - she probably never would.

Thanks to a goofy screw up in communiques, Yankee generals pulled a brigade out of the line to plug an imaginary gap to the north. General Longstreet threw his entire corps through the gap, shattering Union lines, annihilating and enveloping the Yankee left flank.

The rout was infectious and broken units fled back to Chattaboogie, while others fought to the death.

Advanced weaponry was in play at Chickamauga - like Colonel Wilder's 'Lightning Brigade' - horse infantry - freshly equiped with the world's first repeater rifles.

These cats kept the air alive with hot lead for over several hours and probably saved the Union army from a defeat far worse than the battlefield could have or should have delivered.

In von Clausewitz's must read doctrinaire "Vom Kriege" (On War for the English speaking) instant follow up is critical.

Every instinct will cry out to the commanders for pause, rest - refreshment.

"Once the great victory is gained, the next question is not about
rest, not about taking breath, not about considering, not about reorganising, etc., etc., but only of pursuit of fresh blows wherever necessary, of the capture of the enemy's capital, of the attack of the armies of his allies, or of whatever else appears to be a rallying point for the enemy. "

General Bragg choose not to pursue the Union - he later led a slow leisurely siege of Union at Chattaboogie which only served to lengthen the war until Union busted out and fought non stop to Atlanta - where General Sherman debut'd the concept of Total War licking Georgia's peach clean till she begged him to hit South Cackalacky who had started the entire sorry mess to begin with.

Clashing China

Oh! You know, it's so!

When it comes to killer cool combat franchise d' guerre in the twilight of the age of Westphalia, Great Satan's been there, done that and owns the T tank top!

"No military can claim that it has more combat experience than America's. And any military that wishes to remain at the cutting edge of its profession without paying the cost of actual prosecution of war would serve itself well to become an ardent student of America's campaigns."

So how does a nation state (the largest collective on the face of the earth) view events future and au courant vis a vis open conflict with Great Satan?

"...Two important questions for the second decade of the 21st Century are whether China can be satisfied even by becoming a coequal of the United States; and whether the latter would be amenable to accepting China as its coequal?"

"...A very important, but a tacit, aspect related to the latter question is that the United States should also be ready for the scenario of China becoming number one among the hierarchy of nations within a decade or so."

Great Satan's recent dossier on Collectivist China's Military Machine gossip that

"...Many uncertainties remain regarding how China will use its expanding military capabilities. The limited transparency in China’s military and security affairs enhances uncertainty and increases the potential for misunderstanding and miscalculation."

K. People's Liberation Armed Forces immediate and forever goals are maintaining the regime - aside from despot rule #1, China also enjoys several key issues - or - core beliefs on her path to hyper puissance.

"...What is interesting to note is that, as China continues its awesome economic rise, it seems to have initiated the process of expanding the list of its core interests. In the past, only Taiwan and Tibet were included in that list. Lately, however, it has also added the South China Sea as a core issue.

"...Considering the fact that the PRC has shown no inclination to negotiate on the "old" core issues, it is expected to do the same regarding the South China Sea. There is a major difference between its old and its new core issues.

"...On its old core interests (Taiwan and Tibet) no other country is claiming sovereignty over them (even though one can argue that Taiwan claims to be a sovereign nation and its sovereignty is recognized by numerous countries, but their numbers are steadily dwindling). However, in the case of the South China Sea, the interests of other states of East Asia come into conflict with that of China.

"...For a country that has been so vociferous about America's hubris related to its unilateralism and "hegemonism," China's decision to elevate the significance of the South China Sea as a core issue is nothing short of its own manifestation of arrogance. One can objectively state that China's behavior might merely be a demonstration of how a rising or "wannabe" superpower behaves.

The Council

Oh Snap!

Perhaps the most charming thing about conspiracy is - that whenever a machination is real - no one ever suspects! When it's fakebelieve - everyone does!

Thus, the recent come hither from an eclectic group of web savvy self imposed journalistical cats to become the 'military correspondant' for a collective nom d'guerr'd the 'Council" came out of the blue as a complete surprise.

Always ready for a chance at selfaggrandizement!

The council vote ended in a tie between two excellent posts. But in the end, even though Right Truth‘s – Peeling the layers of Imam Rauf reminded me of Shrek the Tie breaking vote went to The Colossus of Rhodey’s Gotta love the hypocrisy, which observes:

As stated previously, Imam Rauf has the RIGHT to build his community center/mosque near Ground Zero. I also believe that people can protest his decision peacefully, in an attempt to persuade him otherwise.

Pastor Jones has the RIGHT to burn a Koran

on 9/11 if he desires, in protest of [radical] Islam. I also happen to
think he’s going way overboard in his approach, that what he plans is
offensive, and I believe that people should protest his decision and his
actions.

But the Ruling Class and the MSM feel differently.

This week’s winning non-council post is Chandlers Watch‘s Violence: Bible vs Koran … Apples and Oranges which observes:

It is very significant that the Sira devotes 67% of its text to jihad. Mohammed averaged an event of violence every six weeks for the last nine years of his life. Jihad was what made Mohammed successful. Here is a chart of the growth of M'Hammedism.

Basically, when Mohammed was a preacher of religion, Islam grew at

the rate of ten new M'Hammedists per year. But when he turned to jihad, Islam
grew at an average rate of ten thousand per year. All the details of
how to wage jihad are recorded in great detail. The Koran gives the
great vision of jihad — world conquest by the political process. The
Sira is a strategic manual, and the Hadith is a tactical manual, of
jihad.

Escalation!

Oh! It's true bay bee!

Great Satan's infamous "Drones Gone Wild!"are seriously upping the pantie ante and raining righteous wrath on Land of The Pure's magical no go zone of North Waziristan at an alarming rate!

"...According to US estimates, there are about 2,000 Al Qaeda militants in the region. Their main hideouts, the prime target of US drones in the spring, are located in the mountains between Miramshah and the Afghan border. Additionally, there are Uzbeks, Chinese Uighurs, Chechens, and Tajik militants collaborating in North Waziristan..."

No surprise!

Since the India phobically centric PAK Army is fixating on India and for what ever reason cannot seem to do their gig to extend writ of state into Pakistan's wild wild West leaves few choices.

Hammer and Anvil approach.

Drones gone wild are indeed the only game in town on the Pak side of AFPAK. Disrupting, dismantling and dropping death to hammer scary scary leagues like the Haqqi cats, Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan and foreign legions of Chechins, Uzbeks, Chinese Uighurs, Tajiks, Moroccan, Egyptian, Algerian, and Sudanese voltiguers.

Great Satan's SOF prowls the AF side of the fakebelieve border - devouring fleeing fleers that have fled the hottest impact area since Grafenwöhr went online

“Threats to 2010 Air Supremacy"

Bandits @ 12 0'clock!

Great Satan's Peace Making war machine always relies on a critical element - complete air domination. If, for any reason air dominance is lost - then it's on bay bee and the struggle for air superiority begins.

Last year Def Sec Gates laughingly laughed off jank about a 'fighter gap' and pointed out that by the time any near field competitor like collectivist China finally became able to procreate via production en masse an air superiority fighter to counter F 22 Raptor - or the F 35 JSF - Great Satan would be - like - fielding a thousand such critters.

Air Force 3 Star General, ex Eagle driver and Air Intell Chief just red alerted an amazingly scary alert “Threats to 2010 Air Supremacy"

Essentially Great Satan is losing her air dominance "...and is dangerously ill-prepared to stop the gap-closing efforts of China and Russia.

Such magically remanufactured 5th Generation combat jets competing - from surface-to-air defenses to air-to-air fighters - means Great Satan is forsaking an ancient daemoneoconical imperial designs that are now doctrine!

"These future threats are now current."

Whoa!

“It's a global revolution to modernize air defense systems. When taken in total, our potential adversaries can create a nearly impenetrable box that our legacy fighters cannot enter, thus denying us our air supremacy”

Aside from idly informed insight that:

All of Great Satan's regime changers will be getting tore up from the floor up to secure vital gear for their respective perceived perceptions of missions future and au courant

Wickedly risque whispers rumor departing Air Force officers often get to gig with one of Great Satan's premier combat jet makers and may indeed stage a Threat PR event to reinvigorate Great Satan's F22 franchise.

So what?

Great Satan's future militaries must achieve complete air domination for any endeavor in any environment and against any concievable array of enemies and frienemies. Anyway she can.

Forsake the sirens of 'Overmatch' in the realm of air dominance.

“The dominance we’ve enjoyed in the aerial domain is no longer ours for the taking,”

Damage Control

Vicious gossip that the Great Satan hating Wikileaks Assange ass guy is fixing to coordinate another sensitive document leak en mass - this time on Iraq - has Pentagon fired up.

"...Nearly 120 intelligence analysts, FBI agents, and others are at work—24 hours a day, seven days a week—on the frontlines of the government’s secret war against WikiLeaks.

"...Dubbed the WikiLeaks War Room by some of its occupants, the round-the-clock operation is on high alert this month as WikiLeaks and its elusive leader, Julian Assange, threaten to release a second batch of thousands of classified American war logs from Afghanstan. Thousands more leaked documents from another American war zone—Iraq—are also reportedly slated for release by WikiLeaks this fall.

Damage Control is led by One Star General Carr a veteran of AFPAK before xferring to militarized spies guys and grrls at the DIA to head up Great Satan's Defense Counterintelligence/Human Intelligence Center.

"...Battling against Assange, General Carr’s central assignment is to try to determine exactly what classified information might have been leaked to WikiLeaks, and then to predict whether its disclosure could endanger American troops in the battlefield, as well as what larger risk it might pose to American foreign policy."

Great Satan's Damage Control could have another mission as well - collecting and cataloging danging intell about how WikiLeaks works and hot deets that might be deployed against the nomadic semi traitorous Assange to provide an opportunity for a trial, followed by a 1st class hanging soon after being brought up on espionage charges.

Semper Fi Femmes

Semper Fi Femmes!

Great Satan's Marine Corps is the most - uh - manly - of all Great Satan's regime changers. Over 200K leathernecks with a tiny tiny contingent of roughly 6% being grrls.

Contributing a small - yet awesome - contribution to winning the AFPAK wars - these Teufel Hundenettes are out in the villages, winning friends, influencing people and doing the Mad Dog Maxim that insurgency fence sitters can have no better friend - or worse nightmare - than Marines.

Nom d'guerre'd "Female Engagement Teams" they send a conflict free signal

“Your men come to fight, but we know the women are here to help.”

Doing their gig in the newly liberated Taliban stronghold near Patrol Base Jaker in the Nawa district of Helmand, former cheerleaders, coeds and retail managers are out on the town discreetly gathering intell and

"...information on women's health issues and get clearance from Afghan elders to build a center where women can meet without male chaperones. The hope is that an initial peace offering of medical care could translate into an alliance."

They go house to house chatting up the ladies as there are not so many Afghan girls walking about without a posse of male relative chaperones:

"...Ironically, the female Marines have a similar problem: As an attachment unit, they can't leave the base for their engagement expeditions unless they are with at least six male Marines.

"...On foot patrols through the bazaar, they encounter another threat: Afghan men. Wearing traditional salwar kameez outfits and embroidered prayer caps, the men encircle the four American women one afternoon when I'm with them, aggressively asking questions like, "Are you married? Do your husbands know you're out?" The men freely grab at their bodies

Corporal Heather Sample tolerates it - to an extent:

"The double standard is annoying. In America, I'd defend myself, but here I can't act on how I feel. I didn't expect to be so soft on them."

Includes a great story of making initial contacts complete with a tribal issued boy as 'terp (the tribal leader didn't want the normal Afghani 'terp) that ad libs and free styles more than needed (little brothers are the same everywhere - nicht war?)

One thing's for sure: The female-engagement teams are redefining war—transforming women into pivotal influencers on the front lines.
