"...men are wretched creatures who would not keep their word to you, you need to keep your word to them."
This is significant
It's legitimacy. Efficiency. Responsibility.
What is a state? What makes it go? What makes it a success? What makes it totally suck? How can a failed state get fixed up?
Something like 40 to 60 nations - the bottom billion pop wise plus - have either collapsed into total failure or are swaying on the brink of collapse. They still manage to create and export. And they excell at it.
Misery Projection. Slave trading. Genocide. Gendercide. Conflict. Intolerance. Dope Dealing. Terrorism. WMD Craft Proliferation. Famine. Illiteracy.
The world famous internat'l community blinged billions.
Very obvious very quickly that corrupt, illegitimate, inefficient 'leaders' and govs are way too corrupt, illegitimate and inefficiently weak to act out like a real state and take care of biz.
Xenophobic slave trading regimes that consider the regimes survival above all else - delaying and gaining control of all humanitarian aid may be taken out. All the way out
As the shiny crib on the heights Great Satan got game. If UN can't be embraced in a death embracingly gripping kiss of death to enforce ideas, resolutions and concepts hammered out in good faith then the Hot! League of Democrazies may hook up and act out.
Regime change and creation of a functional democracy that's stable, hopeful and successful requires every trick in the book. A new school tactical practical mix that knocks off socks
"harnessing our collective energies and readjusting to emerging patterns."
There are 5 principalities to observe, shape and control in "Fixing Failed States":
Proactive intervention - accept the shared responsibility and recognize the need for both cooperation, coproduction (and sharing) of wealth
The brand new baby state's duties and responsibilities
Defined Sequencing
Strategically adaptive.
Military activity can kill regimes - and in quick time. Communication of any type can be silenced - or even better - co opted to serve intervention.
Humanitarian aid - like literacy and/or health, relief and disaster blasters to rescue the perishing and care for the dying.
8 arms of gov will have to be imported quickly - authority spheres:
states, militaries, police, academics, biz, media, non-gov orgs, and labor unions and religions.
"Ashraf Ghani is a practitioner turned theoretician. Drawing on his background at the World Bank and as the first post-Taliban finance minister of Afghanistan, he together with Clare Lockhart develops a comprehensive framework for understanding the problem of state-building.
This will be the central challenge underpinning world order in our globalized age, and offers practical solutions for meeting it."
A fun fast read, Fixing Failed States is an essential addition to any library for Great Satan's foreign policy avant-garde and intelligentsia. A very cool case for regime changing failed states and why the free world really has little choice than to get with it
Resource phat, with examples that offer a viable "framework" for fixing corruption and terrorism. Like Afghanistan, Sudan, Kosovo and Nepal as well as the world's success stories--Singapore, Ireland, and even the wrecked Confederacy.
Saving these nations should be the at the top of everyone's priority list. The world doesn't have a choice in an age of wmd crunked up fiefdoms that torment their own people and their neighbors. There is little front for even tolerating them.
"Fixing Fixed States --a framework for re-imagining the international
system. Essential optimism--an optimism that the authors have earned through their own substantial real-world efforts in failed states"
Let's fix our state: drill for ample domestic oil supplies, tell Saudi Arabia (and AlGore's ignorant sheeple) to pound their ample sand, and right our own ship. THEN, support our friends and stiff our enemies.
ReplyDeleteThat Henry Jackson page has some cool stuff!
ReplyDeleteKeep it up my neocon bud!
I found the H. Jackson page really interesting, too. Interesting read. Keep going, Courtney.
ReplyDeleteI wish the US had the funds available to fix the world's problems, but we don't. Sometimes you have to let the wound fester until you have no choice but to cut it out. Pity. The world would be a better place if we could do corrective surgery on many places.
ReplyDeleteC: "States" fail for many reasons, and in my opinion, there is no clear method or strategy of fixing them. So to start, it is important to define what a failed state is...Yes Rwanda is a failed state...Uganda is a failed state...so is Somalia...so is the Congo...all in Africa, and on analysis, different reasons. Yes, Myanmar is a failed state, but that is another issue. On analysis, you can also look at the arbitrary boundaries that the colonial powers drew on maps as contributing to failed states.
ReplyDeleteHowever, you are onto something here. Because understanding why states fail can/could lead to better policies to manage them (not sure that I'd use the word "fix"). The underlying problem is whether and to what degree the US should (or can) intercede to "manage" the situations.
While you're fixing failed states, here's one that really needs fixing -- it's always threatening and invading little podunk countries that never threatened it, while actively taking away its own people's traditional liberties.
ReplyDeleteWorse, its policies are a throwback to the old age of empires. It thinks it can run the world from its capital in the District of Corruption, despite its own crippled finances and loss of moral direction.
Actually, such there's no fixing a regime like that. Devolution is the only hope.
Hi Skunk. That's the first thought sure. On reading FFS though it becomes really clear that Failed States create a lot of probs and trouble - throw WMD in the mix - it could be said you're just asking for trouble.
ReplyDeleteThere is little front for even tolerating them.
FFS makes a great case for all the worlds democrazies to get on the ball and get it rolling.
Hi Donald, The Brits really love Scoop Jackson. They be resource phat (pretty hot and tempting)!
ReplyDeleteHi Karen - thanks grrrl, 'preciate the love!
ReplyDeleteHi Findalis. That was what was so cool about FFS - lottie dottie everybody gets to contribute. The authors make a great case that it can be done a lot cheaper than going to war down the road by acting out now - using every trick in the book - many already UN approved, to put paid to cruel leaders like Sudan - who can't bother with schools or hospitals but can bling for Iranian built Russian rockets instead.
ReplyDeleteHi Storm! Thanks so much for coming by.
ReplyDelete3 recent events - Great Britain's 'Democratic Imperatives, the League of Hot! Democrazies and now FFS paint a very diff pic - essentially the entire free world must become involved - it's not a Great Satan only thing.
Intervening is defined (a case of get the worst first) in diff ways and it looks very sweet.
Hi Mike - 2 words - "Creative Destruction" - originally from Werner Sombart's "Krieg und Kapitalismus" - "Out of destruction a new spirit of creativity arises". Innovative entrepreneurs create long term economic growth even as they annihilated biz wise old school companies of long standing.
ReplyDeleteRe branded after 911, Creative Destruction now means zero misgivings about Great Satan's ability to destroy tyrannies. Creative destruction is Great Satan's middle name. It is a natural function, for she is the one truly revolutionary country in the world for more than 2 centuries. She does it automatically, and that is precisely why the tyrants hate her guts, and are driven to attack her. An enormous advantage, tyrants fear her, and their oppressed peoples want what she offers: freedom
No diss meant, isolationism is immoral, illogical and in the new millennium - retarded in the classic sense.
Best to Fix Failed States now instead of a run away and hope for the best mindset.
So you have no problem with the Feds usurping our traditional freedoms as long as they justify it by dishing out this nonsense about supporting "freedom" abroad?
ReplyDeleteNot to mention how DC is just fine with dictatorships in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and China? Even to the point of subsidizing them?
At least try to make sense. Simply cutting and pasting the SAME TIRED trope as a response to everything is getting old.
Intervention is not the only solution, nor can it work in every case. I continue to say that one of the problems we continue to cause for ourselves is going into a country without understanding the socio-economic and poly-sci environments, putting our military immediately at risk.
ReplyDeleteI'll try to find time to come by more often.
Hi Mike. The essay and commentary make the case. Smokescreens about lost liberties and support for despotries that do not threaten their neighbors is interesting.
ReplyDeleteAgain, it may be a case of get the worst first.
It's a concerted effort worldwide - honestly - ever try to list ANY reasons for not putting paid to horrid regimes that torment their own people, their neighbors and seemingly have to act out against any democracies (that haven't bothered anyone) in weapons range? That fiddle about with WMD?
Why even tolerate them?
That is a very tough case to make -leaving them alone and hoping for the best.
Hi Storm. FFS points out the same quizes and openly admits that there is no one size fits all.
ReplyDeleteIt also points out that while building a wonderful Disneyland like society across the globe is commendable - sometimes annihilating failed regimes and all their precious assets over a long weekend is just as good.
Oh yeah Storm - Forgive me - I also meant to say you are always welcome here - I know your time is precious and I thank you for sharing it with me.
ReplyDeleteYeah, minding your own business is immoral. This is the moral thing to do:
ReplyDeletehttp://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/7414155.stm
"Eight civilians have been killed in an air strike by US military helicopters north of Baghdad, Iraqi police say.
Two children were among those who died in the attack on Wednesday evening near the town of Baiji, the police said.
Baiji's police chief said the attack targeted a group of shepherds in a farming area. The US military said the incident was under investigation."
Feel the pride.
Just when you think the DC empire can't outdo itself:
http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/story?id=4894921&page=1
"U.S. military personnel at Guantanamo Bay allegedly softened up detainees at the request of Chinese intelligence officials who had come to the island facility to interrogate the men -- or they allowed the Chinese to dole out the treatment themselves, according to claims in a new government report."
So the deal is, we get cheap goods manufactured by Chinese slave labor, and in return, we'll help them keep their ethnic Uighur dissidents in line.
Explain to me again how this spreads freedom?
Hi Mike, Thanks for the links.
ReplyDeleteGreat Satan uses intelligent weaponry - precision no less to wage the ultimate in humanitarian war. Seeking out innocents to spare and killing killers.
Aside from that - careful! Your concern over stats actually makes a case to support FFS.
Either this site is a never-ending put-on, or you're absolutely looney, whoever you are.
ReplyDeleteI link to a story about the latest killing of civilians, and your response is, "Great Satan uses intelligent weaponry - precision no less to wage the ultimate in humanitarian war."
Please tell us how these weapons work. Do they read the minds of those in its path, and only incinerate those who're fighting foreign occupiers?
And you continue to ignore the simple fact that DC supports dictators, even helping Communist China torture its dissidents.
This bizarre lust you have for exhibitions of power is frightening. And sad.
Don't forget Mexico. Some experts see Mexico heading toward a failed state situation. That's bad news for the U.S.
ReplyDeleteGreat article Courtney.
Debbie Hamilton
Right Truth
Hi Mike, perhaps you misread or missed earlier answers.
ReplyDeleteNothing sad about being pro Great Satan. It's the America haters that are truly sad - no knowledge of how she arrived at this point in time. How would tony Blair put it?
"And I know it's hard on America. And in some small corner of this vast country, out in Nevada or Idaho or these places I've never been to but always wanted to go--I know out there, there's a guy getting on with his life, perfectly happily, minding his own business, saying to you, the political leaders of this country, "Why me, and why us, and why America?"
And the only answer is because destiny put you in this place in history in this moment in time, and the task is yours to do.
And our job--my nation, that watched you grow, that you fought alongside and now fights alongside you, that takes enormous pride in our alliance and great affection in our common bond--our job is to be there with you. You're not going to be alone. We will be with you in this fight for liberty.
And then reflect on this: How hollow would the charges of American imperialism be when these failed countries are and are seen to be transformed from states of terror to nations of prosperity, from governments of dictatorship to examples of democracy, from sources of instability to beacons of calm?
The spread of freedom is the best security for the free. It is our last line of defense and our first line of attack."
Also, note how anti Americans tend to cry and wring hands about innocent casualties - yet would bind their own nation from pre emptively acting out to save future lives.
Come on Mike - "America AIN'T what's wrong with the world."
Courtney!
ReplyDeleteHere's Mike Tuggle: "Yeah, minding your own business is immoral."
Yep, I'm sure that would include turning our backs on the Jews during WWII. We've regained our national moral credibility, but the neo-confeds just want to roll up the gates, screw the world for their precious "Calhounian" freedom.
These folks are disgusting.
Not only that, did you know this a about Mike Tuggle's org:
"Its ideologues now openly reject the notion of egalitarianism, opting instead for the idea that society is composed of a God-given hierarchy of groups that should not necessarily have the same rights and privileges as one another."
There you go, and again, it's not just blacks (forget interracial marriage), it's Jews too.
All in the name of leaving "people alone."
Tuggle and his ilk are vile.
American Power
It is, of course, unfortunate but true, that America's initial response in fact, was to turn its back on the plight of European Jewry.
ReplyDeletedonald douglas,
ReplyDeletestormwarning's grasp of history is much better than yours. America's entry into WWII had NOTHING to do with saving the Jews. As a matter of fact, Roosevelt gave orders prohibiting the Jewish refugees on the SS St. Louis from landing in America just before the war.
As for America regaining its "national moral credibility," that, too, is another happy-happy Neocon illusion with no basis in reality. As I noted yesterday:
"Positive marks for the Bush administration's foreign policy also tumbled, from 24 percent to 19 percent, and approval ratings for economic policy fell from 16 percent to 12 percent."
http://www.dixienet.org/rebellion/2008/05/2008-last-american-election.html
A word of caution: the link above cites actual poll data and objective sources that may cause disorientation for those used to Neocon-filtered information.
And yes, Donald, preserving our traditional rights and heritage is priority number one, as opposed to sacrificing them for illusions of imperial glory. The real enemies of our freedom reside and plot their crimes in the District of Corruption. The Iraqis fighting foreign occupation didn't authorize warrantless wiretaps on American citizens. Why should I hate them?
As for my opposition to egalitarianism, I enthusiastically plead guilty. Only radical ideologues believe the government should attempt to whittle down individuals to make them all the same. Apparently, you've fully absorbed the Trotskyite foundations of your anti-human, anti-Western, anti-Christian ideology.
Courtney got game! Taking on the blame America crowd and using intelligent debate to do it. How frustrating for them. How righteous of you, girl.
ReplyDeleteI love the Tony Blair quote. It always chokes me up. It is our destiny to lead, to help those less free and never give up. Never give up.
Hi Mike. Uh, say what? "...the government should attempt to whittle down individuals to make them all the same." is NOT the def of egalitarianism. Essentially, and this BTW is what makes Great Satan and her all Hot!Democrazies so sexy and desirable is, the concept of freedom of choice.
ReplyDeleteWhosoever will, if you will. Totally retarded and immoral to limit people by the status of their birth. In democrazies - anyone can make it - there are are no limits. Ability and accomplishments are up to the individual. The gove does't whittle folks down - everyone has a fair shot. Nothing Magic about it.
Hi Karen - I don't know about all that grrrl - I just know enough about history and current events to realize that Great Satan got game - despite what isolationists, 911 was blowback believers, and America binders would spin.
ReplyDeleteActually - I think you Karen could prob handle it way better than me!
Though I thank ye kindly for the endorsement!
GSG wrote: "Whosoever will, if you will. Totally retarded and immoral to limit people by the status of their birth."
ReplyDeleteInteresting. So you're in favor of same-sex "marriages," forced income redistribution, and affirmative action. And Open Borders, apparently, if you truly believe it's immoral to limit people because of their birth.
Oh, I'm still waiting for your technical explanation of how Great Satan's weaponry distinguishes good people from bad. And maybe you can explain it to the embittered relatives of the Iraqi civilians wiped out the other day.
http://rawstory.com/news/2008/U.S._airstrike_kills_8_Iraqi_civilians_0523.html
What's that make it now? 200,000 murdered Iraqis?
And of course 9/11 wasn't really blowback. People on the receiving end of our bombs know they and their children are being vaporized for noble purposes.
God help us.
Hi Mike. Not especially.
ReplyDeleteAbout intelligent weaponry though - let's cut right to it shall we?
Rules of engagement and smart weaponry make a powerful case for Great Satan's righteousness.
If you were truly flat out tore up about innocents in Iraq dying then perhaps you could wield your prestige and influence with Iran to stop trying to strangle a baby democrazy's tiny baby head plumb clean off.
And about those casualties. Bodansky's Secret History of the Iraq War along with certain bits of NIE2005 maintain Iraq's own internal sec services killed about 25 to 30K per year of their own people.
So far verififable figures for casualties are about 30K for over 5 years
http://greatsatansgirlfriend.blogspot.com/2007/03/tales-of-iraqi-resistance.html
If you notice, GsGf rarely talks about domestic stuff - way too jazzed about Great Satan Unbound in the New Millennium and all the opportunities available in foreign Affairs.
Oh Mike - thanks for the PR at your sites. Certainly appreciated! I reckon I may be described as 'Pro Victory' way more than 'pro war' though - still - thank you very much.
ReplyDeleteGSG said,
ReplyDelete"If you were truly flat tore up about innocents in Iraq dying then perhaps you could wield your prestige and influence with Iran to stop trying to strangle a baby democrazy's tiny baby head plumb clean off."
As a matter of fact, I am concerned about the widespread murder of innocents -- it's a Christian thing -- I don't expect you emperor-worshipping pagans to derstand that. But, sorry, I don't seem to have too much influence with the president of Iran.
And I suppose you think your oh-so-clever response dodges the issue of Trotskyite egalitarianism -- you do know what egalitarianism means, don't you? It's the favorite justification of all totalitarians, foreign and domestic, to whom I have sworn total resistance. And you've sided with the domestic variety.
And yes, I always link to sites I quote so that my readers can verify that I've quoted them in context, whether it's the ultra-leftist Southern Poverty Law Center, the Trotskyite Neocons, or the Clinton for President Committee. It's a holdover from my old college days.
Still waiting for your explanation about those miracle weapons "Seeking out innocents to spare and killing killers."
They seem to be defective. And where is AmericanNutjob? He always runs away from fights. Sad.
"They seem to be defective' YAWN
ReplyDeleteThe fact that they exist at all is another of the, like billion reasons why Great Satan is truly Great!
Consider, spending tons of cash to r and d intelligent weaponry - to actually decrease or even prevent innocent casualities. Humanitarian - to use your phrase - including Rules of Engagement. with real time global communications - no less - should certainly appeal to enlightened sensitivities. Asymmetrical warfare often features innocent civilians as intelligent sheilding by enemies."Widespread murder' seems awful deceptive - deceitful even. Certainly 'widespread murder' is more apt for Persia's hegemonic designs - adapting, feeding and funding AQII's 2004 plot to set Iraq ablaze in secterian strife. Supporting diff Iraqi militias - all with an amazing penchant for hanging in innocent civilian hoods as they acted out militarily against each other - and against your own nation no less. Yet nary a word is heard about those poor innocents.
Egalitarianism? Absolute! Belief in human equality especially with respect to social, political, and economic rights and privileges is an all American tradition. Great Satan doesn't have apartheid, holy blood lines, untouchable castes, tribal affiliation, sacred turf or the enslaved. Great Satan does have an amazing lack of sympathy for nation states that who would promote them - and often utterly destroys (including one especial sucessionary confederation) that are jazzed about such played, failed, ammoral, immoral and retarded - in the classic sense too - wicked regimes.
Interesting - is it not - that the philosophy that you cling to in decrying innocent casualities - does not equally impress in regards to egalitarianism? Amazing! After all - Christianity renders people classless - bond or free - boy or girl. "Whosoever will" equals individualism - free choice, free speech, free markets along with tolerance and egalitarianism not unfree, unhappy and unhinged makebelive ideologies that torment anyone within weapons range.
GSG,
ReplyDeleteRule #1 - You can't change the definitions of words you use to suit your immediate purpose.
Egalitarianism views all people as equal, and any inequality must therefore be "corrected" by a powerful government. An egalitarian, therefore, champions Open Borders, same-sex "marriage," and forced income redistribution in the name of "civil rights" -- the antithesis of conservatism.
(Douglas has taught you well - though I must compliment you for at least exchanging views, unlike DD, who simply deletes arguments he can't answer. That makes you more of a man than he is.)
Let's put this in context -- the quote DD used to "condemn" the League of the South was this: "Its ideologues now openly reject the notion of egalitarianism, opting instead for the idea that society is composed of a God-given hierarchy of groups that should not necessarily have the same rights and privileges as one another."
Here's where he got it:
http://www.splcenter.org/intel/intelreport/article.jsp?pid=455
The Southern Poverty Law Center is an ultra-leftist group that sues to take down the 10 Commandments, promotes Open Borders, and "tolerance" for the homosexual agenda IN THE NAME OF EQUALITY.
The League of the South opposes those evil goals. Thus the SPLC condemns us for our anti-egalitarianism.
Here's my own little expose of this group. It also contains links to other sources, including Harpers Magazine, that document what the SPLC is really about:
http://www.dixienet.org/rebellion/2008/05/morris-dees-rides-again.html
Now, why would a "conservative" approvingly quote the SPLC? Because he actually shares their worldview. Neocons are nothing but Trotskyites waving the Flag. If you don't believe that, check out the bio of the "godfather" of the Neocons, Irving Kristol. Kristol didn't renounce his Trotskyite agenda; he only changed his approach to implementing it. That's why Neocons revere Martin Luther King and advocate for Open Borders -- they want to destroy all traditional cultures and replace them with the "universal" values of the world global revolution.
That's why we are dedicated to exposing these frauds for what they are -- too many well-meaning patriots and conservatives have been misled by the Neocons' appeal to traditional values to support a radical, authoritarian agenda.
Totally incorrect Mike - the def of egalitarianism is in the GsGf vocab - "human equality especially with respect to social, political, and economic rights and privileges"
ReplyDeleteOpen Borders is in direct conflict with ensuring and maintaining Great Satan's superiority. The only folks ever noted personally for Open borders (never met any - just seen them on TV) are many things - but Neocons is not on the list.
Frauds? That is a great def for realpolitik, containmnet and isolationalism.
In the new millennium, constant confrontation and selective intervention will be true components that change regimes and their behavior.
GSG wrote: "Totally incorrect Mike - the def of egalitarianism is in the GsGf vocab"
ReplyDeleteSo, if you have your own special vocabulary, you can always be right. Veeerry convenient.
Similarly, if facts don't suit you, you can just make up new ones: "The only folks ever noted personally for Open borders (never met any - just seen them on TV) are many things - but Neocons is not on the list."
Really?
Here's Bill Kristol:
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2006/04/fns_roundtable_april_2.html
"I'm a liberal on immigration.... What damage have they done that's so great in 20 years [since the 1986 amnesty]?... What's happened that's so terrible in the last 20 years? Is the crime rate up in the United States in the last 20 years? Is unemployment up in the United States in the last 20 years?
And they've been contributing to the U.S. economy and not damaging U.S. society. There have been marches with Mexican flags, which conservative talk radio is up in arms about. I mean, are these people serious? Are these people—what, are they going to be traitors to the U.S.?
... I am pro-immigration, and I am even soft on illegal immigration."
Here's Max Boot of the War Street Journal:
http://www.latimes.com/news/opinion/la-oe-boot3dec03,0,7320527.story
"Immigrants are a boon, not a curse. ... The economic arguments against immigrants reflect a zero-sum mind-set that holds that there are only a given number of jobs to go around and that they will go either to "foreigners" or "Americans."
(Notice how Mad Max put the words "foreigners" and "Americans" in scare quotes -- in his mind, there are no valid distinctions among peoples -- like all Neocons, he's a universalist.)
And don't forget that the always pro-war Wall Street Journal has long been an Open Borders advocate. In a July 3, 1984editorial, the board wrote: "If Washington still wants to 'do something' about immigration, we propose a five-word constitutional amendment: There shall be open borders.'"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wall_Street_Journal
I could go on. Bush, Lindsey Graham, Lieberman, Giuliani, McCain -- all the Neocon war supporters are for Open Borders. Universalism, egalitarianism, militarism and authoritarianism all go hand-in-hand to boost government power and wreck our culture -- those are the Neocons' stated goals, and you pretend these measures will have the opposite effect.
Clamping your hands over your ears and singing "la, la, la" isn't debating.
Meanwhile, the District of Corruption is authorizing more warrantless searches and plotting more aggression against innocent civilians -- to promote freedom and peace, of course.
Hi Mike - talk about ear clamping! Carebeful! That could actually be the very def of your gear switching debate style - like the failed attempt to rebrand christianity to suit isolationist, ammoral, immoral and caste based society fantasy that might best be descibed as faux confederate.
ReplyDeleteNeocons - by their own PNAC openly admit to a program to "rally support for a vigorous and principled policy of American international involvement and to stimulate useful public debate on foreign and defense policy and America's role in the world.” The organization’s statement of principles says the United States needs to “increase defense spending significantly,” “strengthen ties to democratic allies,” “promote the cause of political and economic freedom abroad,” and “accept responsibility for America's unique role in preserving and extending an international order friendly to our security, our prosperity, and our principles.” (Shout out to Dr Donald Douglas at AmPow)
Max Boot (love that name!) also points out that the neocons have prob the biggest tent of all ideologies.
Generally though - they tend to focus on FP and opportunitiies in the world. Perhaps this explains why their personal thoughts about immigration are suspect. As far as a drive to open borders and hope for the best could be interpreted as the flip side of being so super saavy on history, foreign affairs and Great Satan's 30 years in the future military. They prob don't know what petrol costs in the Piedmont section of Cackalackey, or a loaf of bread in Hillbillyland or 2% milk in Cali either.
It may also be helpful to note that neocons and open borders - or even anyone and open borders as a doctrine or even idle thought are pretty much so last year.
As far as covering ears and singing la la la that may actually be best applied to your debate bona fides Mike. Check out this killer tune by Ashlee Simpson called "La La" - shows the rebranding of 'La La' in action. Plus it totally rocks!
http://youtube.com/watch?v=ZUeWqRzBPSU
Webster defines egalitarianism as shared in the GsGf vocab and earlier commentary.
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/egalitarianism
Typical empire-worshipping nonsense.
ReplyDeleteThe SPLC's use of "egalitarianism" was in the second definition offered by Webster: "a social philosophy advocating the removal of inequalities among people."
How does one "remove inequalitites among people"? The SPLC article provided the context in which they meant it -- the League (and the majority of the people of the South) oppose same-sex "marriage," income redistribution, and Open Borders. Both the homosexual lobby and La Raza invoke egalitarianism and civil rights to justify their agendas. If everyone's really equal, then all existing inequality must be corrected with a powerful government -- think of the Soviet Union, Communist China, and Khmer Rouge.
And that's where we're headed under the pretext of egalitarianism and the endless war on terror.
You and your ilk are being played for fools. You're being told to surrender your liberties to the government so it can protect you from all those Islamomeanies who hate you because you're so noble. Meanwhile, Halliburton makes a killing and you get stuck with the bill.
Oldest con in the world -- updated by the Neocons.
And if America is bankrupted, and our freedoms and culture are destroyed, who cares?
Thank God people are waking up to this scam -- your Beloved Leader has wrecked the Republican Party --have you noticed that only 23% now approve of him and only 19% approve of his foreign policy? See:
http://www.dixienet.org/rebellion/2008/05/2008-last-american-election.html
I only hope it's not too late.
And, right, I'm trying to redefine Christianity. Everyone knows real Christians blindly support their lying leaders when they invade a country that had not threatened us and kill over 200,000 innocent civilians.
Clearly, I'm not going to persuade you -- your Ballistoerotica has obviously warped your judgement and sense of morality. But maybe another wavering war supporter, confronted by reality, will see this and realize how he's been manipulated by a thieving, lying ruling elite. If I can reach only one through this strange web site, it'll be worth it.
Adieu.
Hi Mike, thanks very much for the commentary and for all the PR ye've granted GsGf at your sites. Much appreciated.
ReplyDeleteTo paraphrase and blatantly co opt your sign off it's doubtful that my unbridled optismism and belief in America will persuade you.Your "The enemy of my nation is my friend has obviously warped your judgement and sense of morality. But maybe another wavering blame America firster, confronted by reality, will see this and realize how he's been manipulated by decietful, unpatriotic reactionary isolationists. If only one is reached through this audaciously delish web site, it'll be worth it."
