The revolutionary spirit of Mt.Baekdu personified by him is the spirit of independence associated with the soul of Baekdu, the spirit of gun inheriting the linage of Baekdu, the indefatigable revolutionary spirit replete with the mettle of Baekdu and the optimistic spirit consistent with cheerfulness of Baekdu.
The revolutionary trait of Mt.Baekdu possessed by him is pluck and courage of Baekdu-style giant, ever-victorious sagacity of the brilliant commander of Baekdu, broad-mindedness befitting a heroic man, organizing ability of leading millions of people, indefatigable attacking spirit, strong ability of execution."
Kim Jong Il the Dear Leader For Life of Xenophobic NoKo may have stroked out a few weeks back.
This is significant.
In scary, scary, oathbreaking NoKoland - nuke powered, with underground rocket factories, unfree media, starvation, secret rocket bases, secret police, secret trials and secret prisons, Dear Leader is way more than a despotic semi insane ruler au absolute'.
Dear Leader is also NoKo's leading novelist, philosopher, historian, educator, designer, literary critic, architect, general, farmer, and ping-pong trainer. Radios are made so they can only be tuned to the official state freq. "Newspapers" are filled with endless columns of Kim speeches and propaganda.
And instead of Xmas, NoKo rocks out to celebrate Dear Leader's Happy BDay! Party--and he presents each kid a present, just like Santa!
Natch, Dear Leader is also NoKo's premier lover too! Thanks to a never ending supply of magic mountain Baekdu pills - apparently extensively takes seriously the notion of being the father of his country, setting aside great numbers of women for personal service.
The list of special favors continues on and on: as NoKo sank ever deeper into poverty and famine in the late 1990s, Dear Leader kept a stash - like
" a 10,000-bottle wine cellar and liked shark's fin soup several times a
week,"
And hosted rowdy parties, feasts and State Banquets for days at a time
Dear Leader also uses wicked Western high tech to maintain more than absolute control in a personal despotry that features an ever expanding computerized Police State.
An incapacitated Dear Leader may be the reason NoKo is firing up WMD witchcraft again as a power struggle begins.
During the interim as the world waits and watches - take a rocking ride on the "Heavenly Steed Of Liberation"
"Ah Korea, the bright star was born on Mt. Baekdu”
“The fellow countrymen, the bright star rose on Mt. Baekdu”
“The star of sun rose on the house of the sun in Mt. Baekdu”
“Korea, boast of the birth of the star of the sun over the world”
“All the compatriots, look up to Mt. Baekdu. The bright star shines”
“Long live the bright star of Mt. Baekdu”
“The 20 million compatriots, the bright star rose on Mt. Baekdu riding on the heavenly steed for liberation”
“The bright star of Mt. Baekdu is the superstar in the world”
“The bright star of Mt. Baekdu is the pride of Korea”
“The star soaring on Mt. Baekdu is the bright star of Korea”
“The bright star rose with the spirit of Mt. Baekdu”
“The bright star of Mt. Baekdu, the great luck for the 20 million people, was born”
“Korea, shout out the birth of the bright star”
“The 20 million people, the bright star is shining”
“Ah, we announce the birth of the bright star of Mt. Baekdu”
"Await the heavenly steed of liberation"

I rather enjoyed his depiction in Team America--World Police.
ReplyDeleteI've often wondered what percentage of the populace admire Kim. With Kim's total control of information, how many people yearn for freedom? How many prefer the kool-ade?
ReplyDeleteNothing important, just curious if you're familiar with the anthem rock band "Dear Leader?" (They do rock. Yes, I know that was horribly cliched.)
ReplyDeleteHi Ashok - yeah I heard of them a few years back - just like NoKo guy - they rock!
ReplyDeleteKevin, Sharansky says in "Case 4 Democracy" that unfree regimes have 3 types of citizens - true believers, double thinkers and dissidents.
ReplyDeleteTB's and DT's often swap places and the main goal of State controlled media is to constantly win back the double thinkers. He has several examples of dissidents in NoKo and gives a very chilling air to the term "controlled environment"
Hi Skunk! Yeah - that flick was a riot!
