A wonderful reminder to friends, frienemies and enemies that even as America succumbs to her two yearly electile dysfunction - Great Satan is crazy and unpredictable.
In spite of being more fickle than any girl, with the attention span of only twice as long as whatever she's hit with - Great Satan continues to confound critics and undermine critique on her will power, fire power and staying power.
Hearts, minds and hands that work diligently at endeavours like space exploration, medicine, high tech, education, academics and the arts can easily be turned to amazing battlefield exploits, determination can devastatingly be turned to deadly endeavours like annihilating enemies, birthing baby democracies, staying the course or surging.
Mistakes? Maybe tactical - but her strategic designs to transform the heart of the ME into a fun, functional democratic society that is the first of it's kind in a area chock full of tribal kleptocracy, gangsta despotry and illegit regimes is another reason Great Satan is truly Great.

ReplyDeleteI have a Marine in my class. He came to my office Thursday. Did two tours in Iraq and was hit by a grenade. He showed my the wound on the back of his leg. Interesting guy. Said he love America so much, and can't understand the dissing antiwar folks...
